TRITONE GNL OFF-SHORE
TRITONE GNL OFFSHORE TERMINAL 34 KM OFF THE MARCHES COAST
Project for an offshore LNG regasification terminal in the Adriatic sea.
Regasification takes place on board a ship over 34 km off the coast and invisible from the shore due to the Earth's curvature.
It will be an infrastructure of national interest enabling to:
- diversify the sources of supply
- ensure continuous gas supply
- ensure greater safety of supplies
Commissioning is expected in 2012/2013, whereas the construction works should begin in 2010. Presently the project is waiting for authorization.
